Ville Männistö
Operating Surgeon, Kalasatama
In 2009, I earned my dentistry degree from the University of Oulu, and I completed my surgical qualifications in 2023. My journey into oral and maxillofacial surgery specialization began in 2011 at the Turku University Hospital. This specialization took me to prestigious institutions, including the Päijät-Häme Central Hospital and the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Unit at Helsinki University Hospital. Alongside my practical experience, I've also pursued extensive academic training, completing 5/6 of the medical coursework required for a medical degree at the University of Helsinki's Faculty of Medicine.
In addition to my clinical responsibilities, I am deeply engaged in academic research, currently focusing on my doctoral thesis. My research encompasses the innovative realm of 3D design for orbital fracture plates, examining the efficacy of positioning in fracture repair. Furthermore, my studies extend to pediatric cranial surgery and exploring the therapeutic applications of botulinum in treating physiological bite conditions, reflecting my commitment to advancing both the science and practice of oral and maxillofacial surgery.
I am an oral and maxillofacial surgeon at Päijät-Häme Central Hospital and various private dental clinics. Since 2016, I have specialized in aesthetic and medical botulinum treatments and various facial filler treatments.
