How quickly does botox take effect
The effect of Botox comes on gradually, and the effect also gradually wears off. On average, the first results are visible on the skin after four days of treatment. By two weeks, the results are at their peak and can be assessed. By the sixth week, the effect starts to gradually diminish.
The muscle returns to its original state 9-12 months after treatment, but the skin shows a loss of effectiveness several months earlier. Treatment results can be maintained by repeating the treatment, for example two or three times a year. Treatments should not be given less than every three months.
