Botulinum toxin
Botulinum toxin (botox) is ideal for fading or correcting wrinkles, fine lines and other ageing changes. The most common aesthetic botulinum treatments are for the upper face: wrinkles, horizontal forehead wrinkles and crow's feet. Botulinum can also be used medicinally, mainly to treat migraines, teeth grinding and excessive sweating.
In aesthetic treatments, botulinum toxin, or botox, is often the preferred, most effective and cheapest option. In the treatment of health problems, botox is usually used when primary treatments have failed to produce the desired results.
Botulinum treatment, commonly known as Botox, is an excellent solution for wrinkles and fine lines. Our staff has a deep understanding of muscle anatomy and facial structure, allowing us to achieve precise and natural results.
Botox treatment is done with botulinum
Botox treatment is performed using type A botulinum toxin, a prescription medication. The diagnosis, prescription, and administration of the treatment are carried out by a doctor or dentist. When used correctly, Botox is a safe and effective neurotoxin that works by blocking the release of acetylcholine at nerve endings. This temporarily reduces muscle activity in the treated area. The effects are particularly noticeable in aesthetic treatments such as forehead and frown line correction—when the muscle relaxes, the overlying lines and wrinkles smooth out.
On average, the effect of the treatment is noticed on the fourth day after the injection, and it takes two weeks after the injection for the maximum effect to be achieved. The muscle treated with botulinum toxin does not fully recover to its baseline condition until 9-12 months after the injection, but the strongest effect usually lasts between four and six months. After this period, the treatment can be repeated.
