PRF Plasma Therapy

At the start of PRP treatment, a sample of blood equivalent to one vial (15 ml) is drawn from the patient. The blood is placed in a centrifuge, which separates the fibrin-rich plasma from the blood. The plasma is rich in the body’s own growth factors.

After separation, the plasma is injected into the skin using very small injections. The treatment can also be administered using a cannula or superficially as part of a microneedling procedure.

PRF is a so-called second-generation plasma therapy that was developed from PRP therapy. In PRF therapy, growth factors are released more slowly thanks to the fibrin network, and the results of the treatment are longer-lasting. In PRP therapy, no fibrin network forms, and the growth factors are released all at once.

In PRF therapy, no anticoagulants or other synthetic substances are added to the blood. The risk of an allergic reaction is virtually nonexistent, as the treatment uses only plasma isolated from the patient’s own blood.

The fibrin mesh releases growth factors gradually. Therefore, results are not visible immediately after treatment, but only over the course of several weeks. The treatment stimulates the skin’s own production of collagen and elastin, and this process requires time. However, the wait is well worth it, as the end result is radiant, healthy skin.
